These terms govern your access to and use of Duskline (the "Service"), available at duskline.ca. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you're agreeing on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to do so.
Duskline is landscape lighting design and quoting software for contractors and distributors: designing lighting layouts on customer photos and generating quotes from that data. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
You retain ownership of the projects, photos, customer information, and other content you enter into Duskline ("your content"). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you. You're responsible for having the right to upload and use any photos or customer information you enter, and for complying with applicable privacy laws with respect to your own customers' data — see our Privacy Policy for how we handle it on your behalf.
Some accounts are linked as a distributor and its contractors. A distributor controls the fixture catalog and pricing multiplier visible to its linked contractors, and may add or remove a contractor's access to that catalog at its discretion. Duskline is not a party to, and does not guarantee, any pricing, purchasing, or business arrangement between a distributor and a contractor beyond what's reflected in the app.
You agree not to: use the Service for anything unlawful; attempt to access another company's data or bypass access controls; upload malicious code; scrape or resell the Service without our permission; or use the Service in a way that disrupts it for other users.
Duskline helps you build and calculate quotes based on information you enter (fixture specs, pricing, labor, tax rates). You are responsible for reviewing every quote before sending it to a customer — we are not responsible for pricing errors, tax miscalculations, or design inaccuracies in quotes you generate and send.
The Service relies on third-party providers, including Supabase (data storage/authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Google Maps (satellite imagery, when you use that feature). Your use of Duskline is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable to features you use.
We aim to keep the Service available and your data intact, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We recommend keeping your own records of critical customer/quote information for anything time-sensitive.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the Service or other users. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you first except where immediate action is needed.
The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Duskline is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including errors in a quote you sent to a customer or any business decision made based on the app's output.
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
