Duskline ("Duskline," "we," "us") provides landscape lighting design and quoting software at duskline.ca. This policy explains what information we collect through the app, how we use it, and how it's protected.
Duskline is a business tool. Our direct customers are landscape lighting contractors and distributors who create an account ("you," "your company"). In the course of using Duskline, your company may enter information about your own customers (names, addresses, property photos) to build designs and quotes. For that data, your company is the data controller and Duskline acts as a processor on your behalf — you're responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store your customers' information, and for responding to any request from them to access or delete it.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and Duskline is not directed at children.
We do not sell your data, or your customers' data, to anyone.
Application data (accounts, projects, designs, photos) is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. The app itself is hosted by Vercel. When you use the satellite-view feature, the address or map area you search is sent to Google Maps to return an image. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on our behalf.
Access to your company's data is restricted at the database level (row-level security) — another company's account cannot read your projects, customers, or fixtures, and vice versa.
Duskline does not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Signing in relies on standard browser storage to keep you logged in between visits — this is essential to the app functioning and isn't used for tracking across other websites. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we'll update this policy and add a cookie notice where required.
We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us using the email below and we'll remove it, subject to any data we're legally required to retain.
Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below.
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all traffic and database access controls that restrict data to your own company's account. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of Duskline after a change means you accept the updated policy.
